EU<\/strong> has worked hard to address these with strong policies and actions. Despite all the challenges, the outlook for 2021 and 2022 is for considerable recovery across Europe. This is good news for the rest of the world and, for developing countries with most tourism potential and demand, as chances are EU may become the poster child for the pent-up demand for travel and tourism reboot.
The aforementioned, and upcoming Hybrid Summit, at the iconic capital of Europe, Brussels, is an opportunity to rethink, reimagine \u2018meaningful\u2019 tourism<\/strong> of tomorrow.
This needs to be built on certain verticals, powered by digitization, and sustainable investments into human capital and infrastructure.
The event participation will include other past present heads of states, various ministerial level attendance and the wider Travel and Tourism industry stakeholders, corporations, and leaders.

The World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI)<\/strong><\/a> has welcomed Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) President Angela Gerekou to its advisory board.<\/h2>\n

WTFI<\/h3>\n

Based in London, the WTFI is a research institute that supports sustainable and universally accessible tourism.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is an honour for me to be part of the advisory board of the World Tourism Forum Institute next to such an important executive council and important board members. I am deeply committed to its mission for a resilient future in the tourism industry,\u201d Gerekou said.<\/p>\n

The WTFI is the mother organization of Global Tourism Forum (GTF), an international collaboration platform focused on addressing the challenges for the travel industry.<\/p>\n

Combining the joint efforts of government agencies, industry stakeholders and academia, GTF strives to achieve sustainable development models for emerging travel markets, as well as devising strategies to ensure tourism growth.<\/p>\n

The WTFI\u2019s executive council includes Bulut Bagci (president), Sumaira Isaacs (CEO), Taleb Rifai (general secretary) and Bar\u0131\u015f Kahr\u0131man (board member).<\/p>\n

Born and raised on the Greek island of Corfu, Gerekou has been president of the GNTO since August 2019.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
